We are now hiring for the 2024 summer season. We employ individuals who take pride in their work and who are focused and responsible. We offer training and competitive pay for a job well done. We’ll accept applications starting March 2024.

Available positions and their descriptions are below.

Positions include:

  • Lifeguard
  • Pool Manager
  • Pool Service Technician
  • Swim Lesson Instructor
Lifeguard and pool staff

Lifeguard

Must be at least 15 years old. Lifeguard certification is required but if you are not certified then we offer certification classes as a convenience.

Do you enjoy interacting with people and learning new skills? How about the outdoors and helping others while being in charge of a pool?

Lifeguards at Pool Dolphins must show that they’re responsible, reliable, confident, respectful, eager to learn and hard working.

Daily duties include, but are not limited to:

  • checking pool passes
  • vacuuming the pool
  • checking and balancing pool chemical levels
  • enforcing pool rules
  • making sure pool deck and surrounding area is clean

Keep in mind that you are there to make sure everyone is safe and you need to be confident in doing so.

Pool Manager

Must have previous lifeguard experience. Expected to work at least 30 hours a week as a lifeguard at assigned pool. Two years of lifeguard experience is preferred but not required. General pool pump experience is also preferred but not required. We will train you!

Manager duties and expectations include those of a lifeguard plus:

  • being in charge of the pool schedule and making sure every shift has coverage
  • thoroughly training the lifeguards that are assigned to the pool that you will manage
  • making sure proper equipment and supplies are at the pool
  • attending manager meetings. Frequency tbd
  • making sure lifeguards are properly filling out paperwork on a daily basis
  • must be fair and reliable
  • must treat lifeguards with respect and show positive and professional behavior at all times
  • must retain enough knowledge of pool pump and facility in order to properly train lifeguards
  • must be in contact with the property manager and board members to ensure everything is going great and there are no issues

Pool Service Technicians

Experience is highly preferred but not required. Having a CPO certification is a plus.

Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a reliable mode of transportation. Must be responsible, reachable, reliable, hard working, good with communication, professional, good at problem solving and a quick learner. Must be comfortable with working alone. We will train you and provide tools if necessary.

Pool technicians duties and expectations include, but are not limited to:

  • opening and closing pools
  • various pool pump repairs
  • diagnosing issues, including electrical issues
  • painting pools and doing tile work
  • pool pump installations or replacements
  • patching pool surfaces and caulking pool decks
  • must demonstrate professionalism at all times
  • must be comfortable with being in contact with the customer and providing great customer service
  • replumbing systems or installing new plumbing

Swim Lesson Instructor

Experience is preferred but not required. Must be patient and enjoy working with others, especially kids. Must demonstrate professionalism and display a warm and positive attitude. Must be swim instructor certified before teaching lessons. We offer swim instructor certification classes through Starfish as a convenience. Must be good at communication and be able to actively communicate student’s progress with either the student and/or the student’s parent or guardian. Must be responsible, reliable, and reachable. Lessons will be held before pool opening hours at the private community pools that we manage. Instructors will teach students at all skill levels. Classes will begin in June. Our swim instructors are usually lifeguards.
